This site contains descriptions of fragrances. We recommend always that fragrance is experienced on an individual’s skin before a purchase is made, and we take no responsibility for any fragrance purchase that you are not happy with. This includes recommendations made by FR.eD, our ‘virtual fragrance advisor’; FR.eD’s suggestions do not replace trying a fragrance on the skin and making up your mind, before purchase.
If you take a link to another website, we are not responsible for any financial loss due to a third-party site failing to deliver goods or services provided by that site.
Allergy/sensitivity warning
Perfume is potentially allergenic. All samples contained within our Fragrance Education Discovery Boxes contain allergy information on their packaging. We cannot be held responsible for any allergies or sensitivity or injury arising from the use of fragrances provided by The Perfume Society. We do not recommend the wearing of perfumes of any kind in direct sunlight.
Flammability
Please be aware that fragrance is a flammable material. Always keep perfume bottles and samples well away from any naked flame. We cannot be held responsible for any fire resulting from products we have supplied.
Events
We organise regular events. We reserve the right to cancel events for any reason and cannot be held responsible for any travel expenses incurred in case of cancellation. We will endeavour to contact attendees in the event of cancellation but cannot offer any additional compensation over and above the refund of the ticket price.
Delivery destinations
We can only ship products which contain fragrances within the United Kingdom; we do not ship to The Channel Islands. Any orders which include fragrance products and specify other destinations will be cancelled and refunded.
Terms of sale of products
Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product or service and is subject to the following terms and conditions. Your order is accepted by us when we send email confirmation and/or a redirect to a webpage which provides details of how we have made that product or service available to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the order confirmation email and/or web page redirect to you.
All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
You must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us or be in possession of a valid PayPal account.
When placing an order, you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit, debit card or PayPal account used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods.
The Perfume Society retains the right to refuse any order request made by you.
If your order is to be supplied by a third-party we will confirm the identity of the party. Your order will be subject to their terms and conditions. Where a contract is made with a third party we are not acting as either agent or principal and the contract is made between yourself and that third party and will be subject to the terms of sale which they supply you.
Each sample that is available on our website is posted with full consent of the brand owner or the distributing company in the UK. We have been granted distribution rights of these samples by the brands or distributors that provide them to us.
Delivery
We aim for you to receive your order within a week of placing it – but please bear with us: in some cases (depending on the day of the week you ordered), it can be up to 10 days. Your patience is appreciated.
Returns
We are unable to exchange items that are not damaged, defective or incorrect. Opened and used items cannot be returned.

As soon as you find out we’ve sent you an incorrect item use a contact form on this website or call +44 7748653288 and we’ll send you the correct item as soon as we can at no extra charge.

Pricing/Availability
While we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered, we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
All prices are generally inclusive of VAT and may include delivery charges; if delivery charges are over and above the price of purchase, such additional charges are clearly displayed where applicable and included in the ‘Total Cost’.
Cancellations/change to order
In exceptional circumstances we may agree to cancel or change an order. We can only accept a cancellation or change if we receive cancellation notice from you before we have dispatched your order. You will be responsible for, and your credit card may be charged for, the payment of all fees associated with orders already processed or shipped before your cancellation/change request was received.
Partnership Box
When ordering a box which is an association partnership such as a single fragrance brand or perfume house, you are agreeing to be contacted by them for marketing purposes. See our privacy policy for more information.
Subscriptions
You must be at least 18 years old to take a Subscription.
We will try to process your Subscription promptly, but we do not guarantee that your Subscription will be activated by any specified time. By submitting your payment and other subscription details, you are making an offer to us to buy a Subscription. Your offer will only be accepted by us and a contract formed when we have successfully verified your details, at which point we will create an account and provide you with access to your Subscription. We reserve the right to reject any offer in our discretion, for any or no reason.
For VIP Club Membership only one subscription is allowed per person.
You must not impersonate or try to impersonate another person, disclose your password to anyone else, use anyone else’s account or allow anyone else to use your account.
If you purchase a Subscription for a third party (a “Gift Subscription”), it will expire at the end of the Subscription period. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Gift Subscription.
1. Prices and Payment
If you are a new customer, you may receive a ‘free trial’ as part of your Subscription. When the free trial period finishes your Subscription will automatically continue at the price quoted on the Site during the sign-up process, unless you cancel in accordance with the instructions set out below before the end of the trial period.
You agree to pay the price at the rate notified to you at the time you take out your Subscription. We may modify the price of any Subscription, remove and/or offer certain other subscription services from time to time. We will always tell you in advance of any increase in the price of your Subscription and offer you an opportunity to cancel it if you do not wish to pay the new price.
2. Renewals and Cancellations
Unless you purchased a Gift Subscription, your Subscription will automatically renew for the same Subscription period (e.g. weekly/monthly/annually). Upon renewal, we will charge the current Subscription price using the same card or other payment method that you previously used.
If you took a Subscription with a ‘free trial’, you may cancel the Subscription at any time before the trial period expires. Unless you cancel prior to the end of the free trial period, your Subscription will automatically continue as a paid-for Subscription.
You agree that your Subscription will begin as soon as we send you the email confirming your Subscription. You will not have the right to cancel the Subscription within the active Subscription period, save for any ‘free trial’ you might be entitled to (see above).
Gift Subscriptions cannot be cancelled. All other Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, but cancellation will only take effect at the next payment date. There are no refunds for unused parts of your Subscription.
3. How to cancel
To cancel your subscription, you will need to log in to your account using your email address and the password you created when you purchased your Subscription.
Once logged in go to My Account > Subscriptions where you can see the option to cancel your subscription
4. Offers
Your subscription term, your rights to cancel your Subscription and/or your rights to receive a refund may differ if you used a promotional code or other offer. Further details will be set out with the relevant offer.
Warranties and liability
The material displayed on this website is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy.
Unless expressly stated to the contrary, The Perfume Society and its suppliers, content providers and advertisers hereby expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity and shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Perfume Society or Perfume Discovery Ltd., their directors, officers, employees, consultants, agents, and affiliates, from all third-party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, legal fees) arising from your use of this website or your breach of the Terms and Conditions.
Variation
We have the right in its absolute discretion at any time and without notice to amend, remove or vary the Services and/or any page of this Website.
Complaints
We operate a complaints handling procedure which we will use to try to resolve disputes when they first arise, please let us know if you have any complaints or comments by contacting us via a contact form on this website.
Waiver
If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.
